Art, Beauty, Culture Opera is a hair and beauty salon in Barcelona that fuses art, beauty and culture. The salon is located in a contemporary art space and events venue. Head Stylist Giovanni Lavorante devotes his creative talent to capturing authentic beauty, using innovative techniques in hair styling through sculpting, texturing and colouring. Originally from Salerno, Giovanni refined his skills as a hair stylist in Milan, working for 15 years side-by-side with the esteemed Aldo Coppola, a legend in the industry for his unique style, who has worked for Donatella Versace, Naomi Campbell, Sophia Loren, Monica Bellucci and Linda Evangelista, among others. Lavorante brings to this Eixample-based hair and beauty salon his specialty — shatush, an innovative coloring technique originally lauched by Aldo Coppola. Shatush takes balayage colouring to the next level; the treatment reacts differently to each client’s hair, resulting in a completely unique look. An authentic New York style bagel in Barcelona is a prized treasure. Fortunately, Boston Bagels delivers them right to your door. While bagel-shaped breads or croissants can be found around town, a true, chewy-on-the-inside-crispy-on-the-outside bagel reminiscent of the ones that Jewish immigrants from Poland introduced in New York City is a rarity in Barcelona. Boston Bagels comes close, offering up a wide selection of bagels in traditional flavors, including sesame, poppy seed, plain, and onion. Of course, this being Barcelona, lox and a schmear of cream cheese (aka “Philadelphia” as the Catalans call it) are readily available at the nearest grocery. Place your orders via WhatsApp by Thursday afternoon to have them delivered to your door every other Saturday morning — just in time for a lazy weekend breakfast. Boston Bagels is a virtual store.
