Mi-Mo Korean Cosmetics A recent addition to the Korean Cosmetics in Barcelona club, the relatively small Mi-Mo was started just a year ago by entrepreneur Tamara Kovkel. Despite a smaller storefront and online presence, Mi-Mo delivers a more affordable collection (sheet masks for only 1.50€) of unique Korean beauty treatments combined with one-on-one instruction about how to use Harry-Potter-potion style products, such as soothing placenta face masks, snail mucin serums, and spider web toners. A second location is coming at Calvet, 44. Most popular product: Secret Key Lemon Sparkling Peel Gel (13.60€) To Try: Gel-consistency toners that don’t require a cotton ball or swab. The folks at Mi-Mo have strong feelings about adhering to toner use, despite it being an extra step shoehorned between post-cleansing and pre-moisturizing. The delicious smelling Hyaluronic Moisture Toner from It’s Skin (16.99€) makes it easier to add it to your routine. Paint & Wine Nights Arte Bar is Barcelona’s Premier Painting and Wine Studio. They offer no-experience-required paint nights in their hip and casual studio six nights a week (Tuesday-Sunday). Their art instructors will guide you step-by-step in creating your version of the featured painting of the night, while you relax, unplug, listen to music, meet new people and have a glass of wine or beer. Classes are three hours long and include all materials, instruction, and pica pica. Beer and wine can be bought at the studio or you can bring your own. At the end of the night, students take home the painting they created during the class. Private events or team building events available during the day or in the evening for groups of up to 24 people.
